MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY CONSENT POLICY

This policy explains how Kitts Kitchen Ltd (Trading as This Is Kitts) uses photography, video and media content captured at events, tastings, behind-the-scenes sessions, and Kitts Presents experiences.

 

We handle imagery respectfully and responsibly, and we comply with UK GDPR.

1. Purpose of Media Use

We may capture photos and videos to:

  • Document our work

  • Showcase event styling, food, and atmosphere

  • Promote our services on social platforms

  • Build our visual portfolio

  • Create marketing materials

  • Support brand partnerships, press features or editorial content

 

Our goal is to authentically represent Kitts while respecting guest privacy.

2. What We May Capture

We may photograph or film:

  • Food and drink

  • Table setups

  • Event décor and styling

  • Staff working

  • Venue interiors

  • Anonymous crowd scenes

  • Ambience and atmosphere

 

We avoid capturing identifiable individuals unless permission has been given.

3. Consent for Guest Images

We only use photos/videos where guests can be identified if:

  • The client has sought permission from guests, or

  • Individuals have given verbal or written consent directly, or

  • A consent notice is clearly displayed at the event

 

If the client does not wish guests to appear in imagery, we must be informed before the event.

 

We will adjust our photography plan to ensure privacy is maintained.

4. Client Rights

Clients may request:

  • That no guests are photographed

  • That only detail shots are taken

  • That images are reviewed before use

  • That specific shots are removed from social platforms or future use

 

We will always respect reasonable requests.

5. Storage of Images

Images and videos may be stored securely on:

  • Encrypted drives

  • Cloud storage

  • Internal team systems

 

Content is retained for marketing, portfolio and press purposes.

We do not sell or share images with unaffiliated third parties.

6. Opting Out

Clients can opt out of photography by notifying us in writing anytime before the event.

For opt-outs:

  • Only food, styling and décor will be captured

  • No identifiable people will be filmed

  • Wide shots will avoid showing faces

7. Kitts Presents Events

Public events (e.g., screenings, dinners, cultural nights) may include photographers or videographers.

 

At these events:

  • Consent signs will be visible at entry

  • Footage may be used for promotional materials

  • Guest attendance implies agreement unless they opt out

  • Opt-out requests will be respected confidentially

8. Press & Brand Partnerships

For collaborations, launches, or sponsored events:

  • Imagery may be shared with partner brands

  • Press or media representatives may attend

  • You will be notified in advance if this applies

 

We never use images in a misleading or damaging context.

9. Children & Vulnerable Adults

We do not photograph or publish images of children or vulnerable adults without:

  • Written parental/guardian consent

  • Clear agreement on where images may be used

 

If consent is not provided, images will not be captured.

10. Agreement

By booking with us or attending a Kitts Presents event, you acknowledge this Media & Photography Consent Policy.
